Men living with HIV

The Early Days ·

It can feel scary to be experiencing new feelings that you may never have felt before.

You may find, even when you are trying not to think about your diagnosis, that it will indeed overshadow much of your day and that no matter how hard you try not to think about HIV, intrusive thoughts are there.

This can be a time when you feel socially isolated. You might be asking ‘Who am I now? What does all this mean? Am I the same person I was before diagnosis? Am I HIV? Am I defined by having this virus?’
